EDUCATION
I graduated from Florida State University in 2019. I am a first-generation student proudly contributing to the low percentage of Latinas that graduate with a B.A. I am so proud to become an FSU Alumna, since it was when I was 14 knew that I wanted to attend the university. I intentionally shaped my experiences to hone my media communication skills by completing courses that would serve to my benefit after graduating, which you can view by clicking the button.

SECRETARY FOR FSU COMMUNITY SERVICE CLUB
I was responsible for informing our members of our itinerary through email, answering questions, and keeping track of attendance at meetings. I organized canned food drives, as well as collected items from our members for the community like toothbrushes, deodorant, diapers, even making bagged sandwiches for the homeless. In the two years, I participated in community service for the Big Event and worked with small businesses. I also participated and fundraised for Relay for Life totaling near to 100 hours.
SEE THE EVOLUTION OF PROFESSIONALISM
LEADERSHIP
My first job was as a humble cashier at the infamous late night stop, Taco Bell. At seventeen years old, there was an abundance for me to learn and after three short months, I was promoted from cashier to managing drive-thru simultaneously and preparing the orders on the prepping tables. Over the course of my time at Taco Bell, to then working at a bookstore, to as a receptionist, to a sever, and back to a cashier, I learned that ensuring a positive and productive work environment meant that there needed to be a leader present. I was that leader. In any environment I'm in, I am comfortable assuming the position as leader.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Communication is a major key in customer service and ensuring the ideal experience for the customer. Starting as a cashier, I quickly was faced with several personalities and attitudes once talking with the customer. In the short minutes of planning the customer's order, the opportunity to provide a pleasant service while having a conversation with the customer. Becoming a server broadened my communication and customer service skills. Before becoming a waitress, I was challenged by the fact of simply walking up to someone and beginning a conversation. By being able to memorize up to eight individual orders and maintain a loyal clientele, I gained the confidence to communicate with others and I gained my customer's trust.
RESOLUTION SKILLS
Maintaining a level head is essential in any work environment. Keeping the customer calm during confrontation is key. During my evolution of professionalism, I experienced customers who were willing to cooperate to find a solution and customers who were quick to yell and become angry. Regarding either customer, the same approach applies. Listen to your customer's complaint. Allowing the customer to explain themselves without any interruption will help them understand you care. Never blame your customer or make them feel as if they're at fault for say, an incorrect order.
